Short biography:
He holds a degree in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University, New York and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School. After graduation he worked at the Centro Studi Confindustria, in direct contact with Guido Carli, before working at Salomon Brothers in the Corporate Finance Department, and at Kuhn Loeb Lehman Brothers in the International Advisory Service, both in New York. In 1981 he co-founded Pragma Investimenti e Finanza SpA and later became a director of C.F.I. SpA, an advisory company in the IFIL Group. In 1988, he co-founded and became Chair of the airline Air Europe SpA. He has previously served as a town councillor in Monte Argentario, and was a board member at Exor NV, Deputy Chair of Alpitour SpA, board member at Enav and Chair of Assaereo.
