Internet Banking Security

Internet banking transactions take place through a secure protected connection, based on the use of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) digital certificates. The SSL protocol has been designed to enable applications to transmit information in a secure and protected manner, encoding the data and certifying the Bank server's identity.

To access your online account you will be required to enter your user name and a first password, which is confirmed by an OTP device/Secure Call system which, each time, generates a one-time password valid for one transaction at a time. The one-time code may only be used once.

On signing the Internet Banking contract Banca Finnat will deliver a step-by-step guide with instructions on how to access our online services and authorise payments.

For further security, Banca Finnat provides for the automatic disconnection of the online banking platform if unused for more than 5 minutes.

After 5 successive failed attempts to access your online account, by entering the wrong password or OTP, the system will disconnect you for precautionary reasons. In this case, to be re-enabled you must either visit your branch or call customer care, providing proof of identity.

To block the access to your online account or to the OTP device call the freephone number 800298357, which operates on a 24/7 basis, from abroad the telephone number +39 051 4992170, or Banca Finnat Customer Care at 06.69933474 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 to 18:00).

To request new/replacement credentials please visit your branch.
